Screenwriting Camp

Are you interested in writing for movies? This program is for aspiring screenwriters who want to learn how to structure and write a script. We'll talk about everything from story concept to character development and how to “show don’t tell,” in conveying information without exposition. By the end the camp, students will be familiar with the dos and don’ts of screenwriting, have established a story arc and will leave with several pages of a script. Students are encouraged to download one of the free screenwriting apps like Highland 2 or Scrivener.

At The Intuitive Writing Project, we use theAmherst Writing Method, a methodology rooted in the belief that everyone is a writer with their own unique voice. We support the discovery and development of one’s voice by ensuring that all feedback remains positive, focused on the strength of the writing. The more students write and share, the more they learn to believe in themselves, both as writers and as people.
