The Courage to Write for High School Boys

In this writing program, boys will learn how to tell their story and speak their truth, developing their own voice as both writers and leaders. In addition to teaching the principles of effective storytelling—talking about The Hero’s Journey, character development and overcoming obstacles—boys will learn how to tell their story in a strong, authentic way. The more easily boys are able to communicate, the more successful they will be in all areas of their lives. This kind of writing is particularly effective preparation for college application essays.

Our methodology is based on the Amherst Writing Method which creates a creatively-safe, positive environment, a place where boys can express themselves honestly without fear of judgment or criticism.

This class will be held on Zoom.
